DIAMOND
APPROACH
VANCOUVER |
| A spiritual teaching developed by A. H. Almaas, the Diamond Approach (r)
offers a path to the realization and integration of one's inner nature
while leading an authentic and engaged life in the world. Incorporating
knowledge and practices from depth psychology and spiritual wisdom
traditions, it is a precise and effective method for spiritual
transformation. The Diamond Approach is taught in groups in North America, Europe, and Australia and described in books by Almaas and others. |
|
Diamond Approach groups began in Vancouver, BC,
in 1990, January 2003, and January 2006. The structure of the newer
groups includes five or six teaching and practice weekends a year,
small group sessions, ongoing inquiry groups, individual sessions with
Diamond Approach teachers, and an annual retreat taught by Almaas. Two
new groups are currently forming, one in Vancouver and one in Victoria.
For details on these groups, contact Carole Finnegan (cefinnegan (at)

| The group's teachers, JOHN DAVIS and JOYCE LYKE, are
long-time students of Almaas and ordained Diamond Approach teachers. In
addition to teaching in Vancouver, Joyce teaches the Diamond Approach
in Monterey and Santa Barbara and at the Esalen Institute. John leads
international retreat groups and teaches groups in Colorado and
Seattle, as well as Vancouver. The author of The Diamond Approach: An Introduction to the Teachings of A. H. Almaas
(Shambhala Publications), he also teaches the Diamond Approach at
Naropa University. Both Joyce and John are involved in training Diamond
Approach teachers. Other ordained Ridhwan teachers are also part of the
teaching team in Vancouver, leading small groups and conducting
individual sessions with students. |
